This is the first of our Academy end of season reports:
Under 8's
As the season draws to a close, both Pete and I have had time to reflect on the development and performances of the Under 8’s and we are exceptionally pleased on both counts.
Being the youngest age group of the Academy, for all their technical ability, this was a brand-new team where most had never played together with the exception of a couple of players coming from the same grassroots club.
The boys required some time to gel as a team but they quickly developed an understanding of each other and the individual and collective goals that they were working towards.
At the beginning of the season there were some fantastic opportunities for away days at some big pro-academies as we began our preparation for their first FAW academy programme season.
The season went as well as we could of wished for. There has been a constant display of exemplary work ethic, technical ability and social development from all the players.
They have been 100% committed & have worked hard to help with their own development - whilst having fun and playing with freedom along the way.
A big well done from the coaches Alex and Pete.
