Speaking after last nights 1-0 Flintshire Derby defeat against Neil Gibson’s Connahs Quay, the manager felt it was an even game, that was only defended by one lapse from his side.

Mike Wilde slotted home a header in the 47th minute, and despite chances from the WIngmakers, the Bus were unable to take anything from the Deeside Stadium.

On the tight derby encounter this is what Shosh thought.

“There was nothing between the two teams, both keepers haven’t really had a save to make. We just got a cross in against us and Wilde got in and scored. That was the only difference between the two teams. I thought a draw would have been a fair result. “

The Wingmakers were boosted by the addition of two new signings making their debuts this week, with Mamudo Dabo and Craig Curran both pulling on the Airbus colours for the first time from the bench.

Two singings that are just some of the new additions that have come to the Hollingsworth Group Stadium this Window, with Mikey Burke, Jake Phillips, Dan Roberts, Mike Jones Beau Cornish and Reward Mwakona all coming in.

Both strikers who did make their debut though yesterday were able to change the game, with O’Shaughnessy noting the impact they made, and what they could do for the squad going forward.

“They both caused problems, we haven’t really worked with either much as they only came in this week. On the plus side we will only get better, I thought they were great additions to the team and helped when they came on.”

After a tough pre season, which has seen us without Adam Davies and now Oli Lanceley, the Winemakers are now starting to look to the future with stronger performances, despite three defeats on the spin this season in all competitions.

With the all the signing that have come in the last week, the Wingmakers are edging closer to points on the return to the Cymru Premier, with narrow defeats and key moments being the difference, pushing title contenders was pleasing for the gaffer.

With that in mind, three games in the space of the week, could hopefully see the key moments fall in our favour, starting next week down in Haverfordwest. Something Shosh is confident about.

“Hopefully, we have played two games and the performances have been good. Were not far off its just been fine margins. We have come here, Connahs Quay, they are going to be fighting for the championship, but there was nothing between us.”
