Craig joined Airbus in July 2023 after a successful season where he won the JD Cymru North with Colwyn Bay where they gained promotion to the Welsh Premier League.
Mark Allen was full of praise for the Lindfield, “I know I speak for everyone when I wish Craig all the best. He has been excellent for us not just on the pitch but off it too.
A lot of his work goes unseen, but his goals have been key for us and his ability to bring other players into the game is excellent”.
He brought with him a vast amount of experience with spells at Liverpool FC, Accrington Stanley, Chester FC, and Runcorn Linnets.
Lindfield was a vital part of the squad last Season, where his hold up play with the ball and excellent performances week in week out helped the Wingmakers with their push for the title.
Craig spoke highly about Airbus, “I really enjoyed my spell with Airbus, even though it has ended a bit sooner than I expected. Airbus is a Football Club that is full of really good people.
Both on and off the pitch, Skip and Chappy (Chappers) were brilliant with me. They understand that we play Semi-Pro football and trust the lads to do their own stuff away from training sessions.
There is a really good mix of lads in the changing room. I have nothing but good things to say about Airbus, it is a shame this chapter had ended so soon but that’s football”.
Craig went on to make 26 JD Cymru North appearances, as well as 4 Cup appearances. He finished the season as top goal scorer, with 15 League goals, including a goal on his Airbus debut against Guilsfield and braces against Chirk AAA and Denbigh Town.
Craig went on to explain his reason for moving, “The Bay was the one club in this League that would always be a hard move to turn down. I only left the Bay last Season as I could not commit to the travelling involved in the Welsh Premier League.
I wish Airbus every success next Season, except for two fixtures haha! Hopefully, we will both be challenging each other at the right end of the Cymru North Next Season”.
We would like to wish Craig all the best for next Season and his hard work and commitment will be missed on and off the pitch!
