Friday saw Airbus reserves play their first league game under the lights hosting Llandudno 23’s at the Hollingsworth Stadium

Airbus started nice and brightly and dominated much of the ball for the first 20’ but Llandudno proved tough to break down

Finally, Airbus managed to find the net on 25’ with a well worked corner routine scored by Tom Dougherty assisted by Robbie Jones

The wingmakers continued to ask questions of the Llandudno defence but could not capitalise. From a wide free kick, the opposition managed to squeeze an equaliser before half time as Airbus didn’t deal with the second phase very well

The second half saw Llandudno man for man all over the pitch which took Airbus 20’ to manage. When we did we had lots of success with the ball and created some 4 opportunities through our identity football but could not put the ball in the opposition goal

Game finished 1-1

Player of the week goes to Jack Wissett. Jack has been an important addition to our squad this year both on and off the pitch as Jack has an excellent ability to read the game and lead the defensive unit. Jack is a real leader in our squad and has an excellent attitude. On the night he dealt with some really important moments in the game when we were under pressure which helped us to take an important point away from the game
