Match Report: Airbus UK Broughton FC Reserves 2-0 Denbigh Town FC Reserves

Three points for our Reserves under the lights!

Friday saw Airbus Reserves play another game under the lights, as we welcomed our opponents Denbigh Reserves to the Hollingsworth Group Stadium.

Denbigh have been really consistent in their recent run of games and we knew they would be a tough opponent for the reserves squad.

Airbus started the game very positively and did not allow our visitors to settle. The first half was a great battle between the two clubs both squandering chances to punish each other, but Airbus finished the half the stronger of the two teams, ending the half goalless.

Second half, with a slight tactical adjustment saw Airbus dominate the majority of the ball. With the changes, Airbus edged closer and closer to scoring the opener, but couldn’t capitalise on our chances.

Eventually, Airbus found the opening goal of the match through young wingmaker Harry Henderson on 65’ expertly taking advantage of the opposition keepers poor starting position, assisted by Robbie Jones.

Continuing to frustrate our opposition creating a series of chances it was only a matter of time until we took advantage of one of the chances and on the 78’ Brad Knight calmly slotted home a great assist from Callum Hughes after a great piece of play

Final score 2-0 to Airbus
