After a long journey, the U13 squad were slow to start and lost their first two games. However, the third group game saw them beat the previously undefeated St. Georges 1-0 with Michael Sullivan on the scoresheet.

The result left the young wingmakers needing to win the final group game by 2 goals to progress. Another smart finish from Michael Sullivan put Airbus 1-0 in front and for the remaining 10 minutes of the match, they laid siege to the opposition goal. Connor Cox, Daniel Ashcroft and Fin Savage all went extremely close to adding the all important second, but in the end the final game finished 1-0.
