5. The Hollingsworth Group Stadium

Founded: 1946 | Nickname: The Wingmakers | Ground: The Hollingsworth Group Stadium| Capacity: 1,500/Seated: 519

Airbus UK Broughton FC play our home games at the Hollingsworth Group Stadium in the shadow of the huge Airbus plant in Broughton, Flintshire.

Such aviation classics as De Havilland’s Comet and Mosquito were produced during its history and it is now responsible for assembling the wings for all Airbus civil aircraft, including the world's largest airliner, the double deck, wide-bodied A380.

Free car parking is available for home and away supporters to the right side of the entrance to the factory on Chester Road. As the stadium is adjacent to an active runway, several of the floodlight pylons are retractable so that they can be lowered after matches to avoid interference with flight operations.

In May 2014, we announced our home would become the third club in the Welsh Premier League to convert the playing surface to synthetic 3G with the assistance of a substantial grant from the Football Association of Wales.
